This is a good option as long as you do a run through first!!!  The girls that work at those counters do not have any formal training (MOH worked at Lancome for years).  That being said, there are many talented girls there and as long as you like the way your make up looks, then go for it!

I didn’t use Clinique on my wedding day, but I do love their products.  I also had a Clinque makeup artist do my makeup for a formal back in college and was happy with the results.  I do recommend doing a trial if you can, with the specific makeup artist who you’ll have on the day of the wedding.

I did and they were fabulous! they treated us right and totally understood i couldn’t afford a makeup artist but still wanted to look good. we all bought lots of crap and i tipped her, too. She was just so wonderful and did a stellar job on us all. She opened up her new makeup company, too! their superfit foundation is great for all day!

I got my makeup done at clinique and I hated it! She kept telling me to trust her that what she wanted to do would look awesome on me. So I did, thinking she was a pro so she knew what she was doing.. well, she didn’t. It was for my sisters wedding and I felt hideous all night. I still think it’s a good idea, but I would definitely stick to what I want next time and not let them sway me and go in for a trial to make sure you like your artist. Mine used a foundation that was totally wrong for my skin and I looked shiny so make sure they know your skin type. DON’t let them color in your eyebrows it looks totally unnatural and creepy.. that’s what happened to me and i looked like i was giving everyone the stink eye all night! haha! We had to buy product to get our makeup done, but you will probably want some lip gloss or powder for touch up anyway. Good luck!

Hmmmm… I like this thread, because I honestly don’t want to go through the hassle of finding a “makeup artist” here in Lexington. It’s just too hit and miss and I don’t trust people to be on time anymore!
