Unlined bodice for sure! It’s more beach appropriate! I also think it’s more flattering.

I think unlined too. You can’t really see the embroidery as well when it’s fully lined, because there’s no contrast.

That said, my sister bought a similar dress and wasn’t sure she felt comfortable with how nude it was, she was worried it would be too obscene (it wasn’t, but she should feel comfortable on the day!) They suggested inserting one or a few layers of tulle underneath, so it’s less sheer that 100% nude, but still has some white. It’s a nice way to hedge your bets if you’re not 100% on what to do, and the seamstress can show you what it looks like until you’ve built up enough layers for you to feel comfortable with how opaque it is.

I definitely think the unlined.  It really shows all the pretty details in photos much better.  It’s a beautiful dress either way!

my vote is unlined. I love the detail on the bodice, and the unlined really makes it stand out. Beautiful dress!

I’d partially line the front and leave the rest unlined.  So, the main panel on the front would be lined but it would be unlined as it extends to the sides and back (if that makes any sense).

@aquamarine2019:  ugh, the anticipation is real. I ordered mine in June and it’s supposed to come in around November-December, but I’m expecting with covid delays it might be early next year by the time I finally get to see it again!

I am surprising myself by preferring it unlined. I generally don’t like see-through wedding gowns, but this one loses its details without the nude lining underneath. And it doesn’t look obscene like a lot of unlined gowns do to me. I would not put the opaque white lining in.

I would get it lined. It looks like the brides who have it unlined are naked with a sheer top, sorry!

I also think that because the bottom is lined with white, it’s kind of jarring to have the top with no white underneath.

Maybe the tulle idea a PP had would be a nice compromise between the two!
