Well after having dress regret I now have a new dress, it is the Rio by St. Patrick. I didn’t take any pictures of me wearing the dress, but I will go get alterations on Thursday. I will be adding a small one inch rhinestone sash over the tule, and Im going to make the straps removable for the reception. I am an A cup, do you think that I should modify the neckline to a scoop or sweethart?

I don’t really think modifying the neckline is necessary. It has a wow factor that I don’t think you should take away from. I really wouldn’t change anything about it.

It’s lovely exactly as it is 🙂

Without seeing you in it and why you want to change the neckline, it’s hard to say. Just based on the model pics, it looks beautiful the way it is and I wouldn’t modify it.

I have a dress similar to this and made my neckline more sweetheart. I really loves the way it turned out. Sweetheart necklines + cap sleeves = extra beautiful.

I like straight necklines, I think sweetheart can be a bit overdone. Straight necklines can be just as flattering.

Would love to see it on you!! But I think the neckline is fine on the dress.

I love it the way it is too.

I say sweetheart almost every time a thread like this pops up but in this case I think the dress is perfect as is.

I will post pictures of it when I try it on next Thursday.

I think you look beautiful. I was going to add a sweetheart neckline to my straight-across gown (Watters’ Florence) but ultimately I decided not to because you know what? You can’t tell exactly how it’s going to look when it’s done, and I’m too paranoid that I might be unhappy with it. I say, stick with what the designer intended!
