    Have you thought about trying it on again? Maybe after wearing it again you can make a decision.

    I think you should put it on hold, it’s a pretty dress but I think it does nothing for your figure. You are spot on about the lower waist line I think that would look much better. This dress makes your torso look smaller.

    I think you should look at other dresses since your not sure about this one right now. You have plenty of time (dresses should be ordered at least 8 months out) to look around so try as many on as you like. You can always come back to this one and if it is the one, then you will be sure of it.

    @eeruhlig:  Also, is it what you invisioned when you started looking at dresses? Sometimes we get pushed in a different direction by other peoples opinions and then regret it.

    I have two dresses- one of them is very similar to yours and I am petite like you. I recommend you try your dress on again with a ballgown crinoline. It makes a huge difference in the shape of the dress. Here I am in my dress with the full slip…. give it a try, it can’t hurt!

    @eeruhlig:

    I’m thinking of wearing them both… see this thread here…

    Should I wear them both?

    I bought the DB dress for $199 and bought the crinoline from another bee for $33! Fond my shoes on 6pm.com for $20.70 including shipping, which are hard to find for me because I wear size 5. With the taller shoes and the poofier crinoline (and some extra help with bra cups, lol) the dress won’t need any alteration. That’s tough to pull off when you’re 5’2″!

    The right undergarments make a huge difference in how a dress looks, as well as the proper alterations. Since you can’t cancel anyway, I would reserve judgement on your dress until you can try it on the way it’s meant to look. If you want more peace of mind, try on the poofiest crinoline you can find under the sample dress, and make sure you are wearing a well-fitting strapless bra with cups if you need them.

    ETA: The dress doesn’t flow well on you as-is because it’s meant to poof out on the bottom. It’s supposed to look like a ballgown, not an A-line. You would also need to consider if you want to sell that you are likely to lose a substantial amount of money on it, and you would need to decide if it’s worth it to you or not.
