(Closed) Should I remove prongs?

    I get wanting to see more.  But less prongs means less security in a setting like yours, I’d want all the security I can get!

    Keep in mind I don’t even have prongs cause I wanted a 24/7 non-pointy/stabby ring, like I can sleep with my face on it no problem.  It’s a marquise held in the corners east-west (not tension set), sort of a 1/3 bezel with the bezel being on each side… I don’t even know what it is, we told the jeweler what we wanted and he produced.  So take my opinion for what it’s worth!  My whole ring doesn’t sit higher than your cute little inset round diamond in the side view. 🙂

    Whatever you decide run it by at least a couple jewelers for opinions and if they think it will be safe!  That’s the most important thing if you change it.
