I’m not sure if resizing would affect the pave or not, but I just came by to say that I couldn’t imagine wearing a ring that much bigger than my finger. I think your forever ring should be the right size.

5unshin3 :  Take it to a jeweler and ask if resizing will affect the ring overall (and take to multiple jewelers if you really want to be sure).  I had to have my ring resized and it has a paved and embellished band – it didn’t change my ring at all.  I think the bigger risk is you losing your ring because it’s too large and it could easily slip off.

I’m not sure about effecting the pave either, but that is way too big a difference for me to be able to stand and I’d try to resize it.  Or put a ring guard on the inside to just make it smaller… something more permanent.  If it was half a size big, I might leave it to account for weight gain or what not, but not an entire size to size and a half.

I’d go with sizing beads for a ring that ornate. It’s beautiful btw!!

Take it to a jeweler who knows what s/he is doing and ask what your options are.  For something like this, you should defer to an expert.

5unshin3 :  they absolutely can be wrong. They will say they can do it and you’ll get a beautiful ring back and months later you have stones popping out to which they reply, “Well we did what you asked…it’s been months. They could be popping out for any reason. You’re too rough on your ring. Do you sleep with it on (because that big fluffy pillow can be extra hard on rings)..blah blah blah.” It’s just another ring to everyone else. It will never mean as much to anyone in the world but you. Do what you think is best.

I would ask a reputable jeweller but the general rule would be that your style of ring could be compromised during sizing given the side details. I can see why you are reluctant, good luck as it its quite important that a forever ring should fit comfortably….sizing beads may be the way to go….good luck
