I’m glad you put up a picture… There is a slightly yellow tint to the color. From L and down there is a yellow tint to diamonds. You can propose with it if you like. But make sure you do it ASAP, so you and your fiance can pick the new diamond together. They may be willing to switch it with something more acceptable. Quite frankly, since they screwed up, you should not have to pay for it. Let me tell you a little story… My now fiance and I were looking at rings (he wanted to know what I liked) and we went to many stores. There was a store in PA that had some hideous over priced diamond rings (I won’t say their name, but they have commercials playing all the time where I live. Anyway, we narrowed it down to another place, and I picked this one ring out. After maybe 2 weeks from the proposal, (when the ring was less clean and shiny) I woke up to see a huge carbon spot in the center of my ring. It turned out that the sales lady lied to me about the clarity of the ring. We took it back, and I got a better ring from another store. He proposed with the original ring, but I love my new ring sooooo much more! So, propose with the ring you have!

First of all, what a beautiful setting you chose. I couldn’t even tell that the size changed in the new ring. The stone looks better but really all that matters is the peace of mind that you have now. Enjoy your special day tomorrow!

Don’t accept the EGL ring…  insist on GIA or AGS certificatìon.

ETA:  I should read the end of threads before I post. Glad it worked out for you, OP!

@talkderbytome:  I second Blue Nile and James Allen. You can actually see magnified pictures of the exact diamond you’re buying with JA. I gpt my first e-ring through Blue Nile and although I didn’t get to see the diamond beforehand, even though I ordered a J colour diamond, I could barely see yellow in it, and I’m pretty colour sensitive. Plus you wouldn’t get too much of a markup on the center diamond at BN or JA compared to an in-store retailer. We paid $2200 for my 3/4 carat center stone, with VS2 clarity, and when I went to a famous jewelery store in Toronto, they said they would sell the same stone for about $6000. Definitely got a good deal!
