The year after my wedding (July 2017), i was trying to sell my dress. I got a lot of compliments on it and I love it so much, but we live in a small space and I’m not particularly sentimental.
I had it washed and boxed about a year and a half ago and it’s listed on preowned wedding dresses.com. I had a bunch of interest when I first listed it, but now I’m not sure if it’s getting many views and the website wants me to pay $5 more dollars to promote it.
I was about to list it locally again, but I’m starting to wonder if I’ll regret selling it eventually. The other thing is that now that it’s boxed, anyone who tries it on will have to unbox it, and if I were to box it again it would be at a considerable cost.
I don’t need the money, but it would be nice. It’s a $5000 dress I’m selling for $900.

I decided I was never going to wear mine again so donated it to a charity that organise weddings for terminally ill people so they can get married before its too late. It means even if I have moments of sentimentality I know that it’s serving a much better purpose than hiding in my wardrobe.

Have you tried listing it on other websites? I would also try poshmark and eBay (they do take out some of the fees).

You could try Mercari or Poshmark, There is a platform on both for selling wedding dresses.
I kept mine, I can’t see myself parting with it. I kept it with the intensions of converting it into another dress, one that change into for a party/reception type dress after a vow renewal =)

I am not super sentimental either, so would likely sell it. That being said, if you don’t need the money it could be fun to have later. My mum pulled hers out and we got her to wear it on their 25th wedding anniversary. She also wore it for an impromptu Halloween party one year.

I would also check online and see if the style of your gown has sold to anyone else before and for how much. I’ve favorited several listings of my gown on pre-ownedweddingdresses to see how much they end up selling for 👀
