(Closed) Should I send a note with my Save the Date?

Oh, I think I’d be confused unless it specifies that it’s only for the reception… you need to be really clear.  “So and so are having a small wedding in the Bahamas and would like to invite you to join them for the reception on (date) to celebrate.”  Not the best wording, but you see what I mean?  If I just got a STD I’d assume it was for the ceremony and the reception.

I agree with your mom. If I got a save the date with just names and a date, i’d assume there would be a wedding and reception, not just a reception. I think you could easliy add a note about the situation on cardstock, and then attach the magnet to the cardstock. Or just use a regular folding card.
