I am not someone who likes to smile showing my teeth. I have poor enamel on my teeth due to nutrition issues and my eyes become small and squinty. But I am afraid I will not look “happy” enough in my wedding photos if I do not smile like a normal person.
Should I smile how I normally do, without teeth showing, or should I smile big and bright not caring about how my eyes and teeth look? Would I regret my toothless smile? Anyone in a similar dilemma?

Try to be natural… if you try to think about it too much you will look fake, or not happy at all. I’d rather see my natural smile in pictures instead of a held back look…

I agree with happyface.
If you like, try smiling with teeth in some shots. At least you’ll have a lot of pictures of you smiling without teeth & feeling comfortable and you’ll also have pics of you smiling with teeth. Just be natural and be happy 🙂

Thank you for the replies ladies! Yes I would rather look natural than try to force an unnatural smile. Most everyone focuses on the bride and I guess I was worried how the photos will come out if everyone but me is smiling showing teeth. My bridesmaids and fiance all have beautiful toothy smiles!

Fake smiles are the absolute worst smiles in my opinion as a photographer. Hopefully you will be genuinely happy during the times photographs are taken, but I personally love neutral expressions on people and I really wish so much wasn’t placed on smiling when so many smiles are faked!
