As long as you just tell her you’re considering, then it’s not a big deal. It’s not like your making 100% promises to be there. It does stink that she can’t come to yours. :/ I love DW’s!

I think that’s fine.  She probably just didn’t want you to feel any pressure to go.  I know I’ve said that to my friends who have to travel a great distance to travel for my wedding; however, I still REALLYREALLYREALLY want them to come!

@frustrated: I think most destination brides just assume that most of their guests won’t be able to come (because it’s expensive and time-consuming) – and probably more so in your situation because you’re spending a bunch of money on your own wedding and she likely expects you to be too broke and be fresh out of vacation days at work.  Go ahead and tell her you’re thinking about it, she might even be pleasantly surprised that you haven’t immediately written her off.  🙂
