I love your ring it’s different I wanted something very vintage but it didn’t work out that way. I ended up with vintage diamonds but not a vintage setting. Maybe just replace the center stone. If you want to go for a biggger center stone you could get your ring remaid.

coco13 :  you should keep that ring because it is beautiful and it has sentimental value. But you should buy another ring that fits what you both want. Diamonds have awful resale value, so you might as well keep it.

coco13 :  one on the other? You have 10 fingers. It can be your right hand ring. Tell him so.

i actually have most of my diamonds from previous relationships. One I had reset in a right hand ring. Thankfully my fiancé is ok with me enjoying the sparkle.

I would go to August Vintage website and look for a round OEC to put in the center. That setting is GORGEOUS and I’d snatch it up if you decided to sell!!!

The fact that this bothers both of you, and you’re tempted to trade it in, I would go for it. Take lots of pics of this one, and you can remember the sentiment that you felt from it. But choose a new ring and diamond that you both are happy and excited about.

It’s a gorgeous piece! I wouldn’t change out the center because, to me, vintage pieces should be kept as is. That’s part of their charm. I vote keep it and find a second set to swap out with. Maybe a moissanite if cost is an issue.

It’s a gorgeous piece! I wouldn’t change out the center because, to me, vintage pieces should be kept as is. Altering them can damage them, and the little individual “flaws” are part of their charm. I vote keep it and find a second set to swap out with. Maybe a moissanite if cost is an issue.

I second other posters saying either swap the center or just keep it and get a less expensive second ring. Your ring is so gorgeous! I love Art Deco vintage/antique jewelry and have tons of my own lol

If the inclusion bothers you now, it will probably bother you even more in the future. Just exchange the center stone.

It’s gorgeous. Is it vintage? The cut looks old or transitional. Personally I’d keep it. Save for something else but def. keep it.

I looked again. My gosh that stone is incredible. I would rather have it than my VS1 any day.

I think your ring is absolutely beautiful! I agree with many of the other posters and would see if you could just change the center stone out but that ring is downright gorgeous.
