    Get the 12. You look beautiful in it. If you lose some weight, you can get it taken in.

    @Juliepants: I’m 5’3″ and about 150. 135-140 is my happy weight.

    I was in a very similiar situtation. They were offering me my dress for half price off the rack. It was a size 10, and it was too small. I Ccould get into it fine, but it wouldnt completly tie (you could see about an inch of skin). I still decided to buy it (this was about a month ago). This just makes me work harder to reach my goal. I am actually hoping by the time my wedding gets here (its in the summer of 2013) that I will have to take it in, lol heres to hoping!! I say go for it, it will keep you motivated!

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WAIT!!! LOL  so my experience….

    Basically I fell IN LOVE with Martina Liana 260 gorgeous dress!!! It was way over what I would expect to pay for a dress $2000, so I search and found a bridal trunk show nearby and went. They actually had to bring in the dress two weeks later from the designer, the dress was just AMAZING in person and although i did not like how it fit me (as it didnt look like the model) so much i was so inlove with the dress and the trunk show disc i bought it.

    I told everyone that I knew for a fact i was going to lose weight before my wedding. I was 155 height 5’2 heaviest I have been in the past 9 years and it was my ultimate goal to get to the size i was when my fiance and I first dated (although he loves me regardless) anyways everyone says the same thing…. so many brides say they will lose weight and they dont! thats all i heard. I have a large chest as well, and so i was told based on my measurements to order a 14. I say oh im losing weight, i finally get so tired of hearing it i say fine, ill order a 12 and just take it in, i am losing weight. I ordered it in beginning of april, and it arrived in july, I ended up losing 30 lbs, and i was so upset when i had to go pick that dress up because now i was a size 8.

    i picked it up early august, and i walked in and everyone jaws dropped they said they had never seen this.

    now i am stuck with a gorgeous dress that makes me want to cry when i see it ! lol however not only is the dress  5 sizes too big(now i am about to order a 2 or 4 corset style in my new dress since i have lost a total of 42lbs now), I also decided i wanted a totally different silouette… a mermaid… i fell in love when i saw how great i looked in that

    so there are plenty reasons to wait, it will be too big, u may want a different fit or dress, alterations are going to get crazy expensive going 5 sizes or even 3 sizes down although it can be done it can also start to comprimise the shape or fit of the dress and if your dress is lace with/without embellishmnts it will cost even triple!!!

    lol sorry for the rant, it really sucks now putting out all this money because everyone said it wouldnt happen so dont listen to what everyone says! you really need to look deep down inside and see how much you want this, if you are truly dedicated and can be super strict with healthy eating habits then do it! all my hard work has truly paid off, not because of the number size of the dress or the number on the scale but because now i feel fabulous!! literally get gitty when i look in the mirror because i feel hot and i am so comfortable with my body! (it also really helped me be more outgoing in the bedroom too since i feel confident now ;D) and when its all said and done if you are only able to lose 10 lbs although you shoot for 30, you will still feel that much more fabulous and sexy especially on your wedding day. Once you see the first 5 or 10 lbs come off it will get easier since you will feel fantastic!

    i admit i have dieted for past 9 years and only this time i succeeded cause i made my mind up and stuck with it, and a wedding is the best motivation!

    I think it’s best to buy the size you are now, just in case you don’t lose the weight. You don’t want to stress about fitting into the dress right before the wedding! You can always get it altered if needed. That’s the advice my friend gave me, I had the same question.

    I bought my dress thinking I would never really loose the weight, I lost 20lbs! now my dress is more than a saze too large. I picked it up today and was so sad that I didn’t just wait a few more months. There isn’t much I can do now, but I hope the alterations are done well!

    Get the dress that fits you now. You don’t want the additional stress of wondering whether or not you will lose the weight. Plus it’s easier to take the size down if you do lose weight. Your dress is beautiful and really flatters your figure! In the second picture your waist and hips look tiny!

    June 2nd is a wonderful day!! 🙂 You have plenty of time sweety, wait and try on that size 10! You can do it. There is no need to pay for extra alterations when you have plenty of time to order the dress. Good luck!

    Can we get an update? Have you been able to lose the weight? This showed up as a related topic for another post and I’m in the same boat. I’m hesitant to buy because I’m starting an intense weight loss program in one week from today *squeel* but my wedding is in 2.5 months… Since I know I already have to buy off the rack, I’m thinking about waiting until I’ve dropped the 20 lbs
