If it arrived with out wrap, I’d wash it.

Yep. The stuff you get, depending on what it is, will have been handled, could have dirt, dust, chemicals, residue, and most likely germs.

I’d wash things if at all possible. If you just can’t wash something, you can wipe it down or spray it with isopropyl alcohol, but that wouldn’t get the dirt off, just sanitize it.

Your baby will get an immunity through from you during the last few months of pregnancy and somewhat through breast milk, but not for too long. It usually fades after a few weeks or sometimes months. Of course, immune systems grow with exposure to germs, but as a new born, best to be safer than sorry. Loud sounds, bright sun, etc. Newborns are extra sensitive to everything.

Best to keep newborn things very clean when possible. As they get older, usually when they start crawling around, their immune system becomes stronger and they can handle more and you can be less super-sanitary and more “normal” sanitary.

Definitely wash because it will go in the mouth at some point.

I would definitely wash it … You never know who could have touched it or where it could have been before it got in the box!
