I have thick, quick growing, dark hair too and I really do recommend it. The legs most of all. It hurts for sure but is totally worth it. For bikini, I have had some good ones and some so terrible that I hurt for 4 days afterwards. So go to a decent place.

Some others recommend taking some advil an hour prior, that might help.

All in all, I totally think it’s worth it. Keep an eye out for Groupons or Living Social deals in your area to keep cost down (or maybe even afford a trial). I know we get a lot in our area.

My only experience with waxing is my legs that I do myself at home.  I expected it to hurt like no other, but it actually wasnt that bad at all.  There’s usually no sign of hair for 3-4 days, and then still nothing really noticible until you’re an inch from your legs for upwards of a week.  I used Moom, like $15 bucks for a kit, heat it up in the microwave, spread and go.

@mrsSonthebeach:  Giirrlll I’m not gonna lie, it HURTS!  But, if you go to a good waxer who knows what she’s doing, it will be really fast.  I get everything down there waxed every 4 weeks, and I’m in and out in like 10 minutes.  I think going 6 days before might be a little too far off….why don’t you go more like 3-4 days before the wedding. I don’t think advil or anything like that really helps me, but I would recommend going as early in the morning as possible.  My waxer said that you have less blood flow (or something like that) in the mornings so it hurts less.  I don’t know if that’s true, but it couldn’t hurt to go as early as they open!

I used to brazilian wax all the time! I had laser hair removal so I don’t need to wax anymore but 6 days out would be fine. Yes, definetly take an advil or something before. I recommend doing a brazilian:) if your guy would dig it. Just make sure you are really well trimmed, I would call the salon you choose and let them know you will be a first timer and they will tell you what to do. I went to a super expensive high end salon my first time cause I was like um…you know…I’m not trying to go cheap when it comes to “down there” lol! The salon i went to even offered to vagazzle me! lol!

@Angelz_love:  OK, I really want to google “vagazzle”, but not on this computer.
