Should I wear a hoop?

If you want flows then I’d do a crinoline petticoat or just add a few layers of crinoline to your dress. Hoops definitely have a distinct, floating look.

I think it depends on the fullness of your skirt without a hoop or petticoat. Most dresses I tried on, I preferred without anything underneath as the skirt flowed more and was much more comfortable. If you want a little more volume add a layer of crinoline, but personally I would avoid an extra undergarment like a petticoat bc I found them to be hot and cumbersome.

depends on how many layers of skirt your dress has.

Personally I hate how limp some dresses look because they have only a few layers and while in theory it’s supposed to “flow”, most of the time in videos the dress looks limp and sticks to the wearer :/

I didn’t want extra poof as I already had enough net and tulle layers in my dress! I wore a small hoop just to keep my legs free-SO much easier to walk in as there’s no fabric to get caught between your feet, worth trying out (got mine cheap on Amazon)
