I actually already have a “statement” necklace, I bought it before the dress. It’s a vintage piece, and looks way more sparkly in person, and the color a little less dark than the pics. If I don’t wear it, I can always resell it.
But I’m thinking now that maybe no necklace would be best. I will wear earrings though. Also, maybe because of the detailed back, no necklace is better? Or maybe that doesn’t even really matter…

Wow, that is a gorgeous dress! Who makes it?

I voted Your necklace.. I really think it would look amazing having that ‘pop’.. I would love to see pics of it with the dress!

Thanks! It’s a Priscilla of Boston Style PL210 from their Platinum collection, but I bought mine from another bride.
I will post pics of the dress w/the necklace next time I try it on, which will be in a couple months. Probably get a more accurate idea then, so good call!

That is a beautiful necklace! I think i prefer the dress without a necklace but I tend to lean towards more simple looks. But try it on with the dress. It would definitely add a fun pop of color.

necklace! I always vote for necklaces with straplesses dresses because I’ve seen too many photos where the bride looks topless.

Love the necklace, love your dress!! Do it!! And if you’re unsure, how about trying the dress on and take some pictures with and without the necklace. Then you can get an idea of how it would look all put together. I love colored gem stones and it’s so different and unexpected!! If that’s your style I’de totally go for it!!! BEAUTIFUL choices!!

I vote for no necklace, but I think you should get some pretty statement earrings. IMO, the necklace would take the focus off of you and chop your body into weird “thirds” (head, torso, legs)… if that makes sense.

Do you have a photo of you modeling the dress or the necklace up against the dress? I’m just not sure if the necklace will tie together with the jewels on the dress.

My vote is for no necklace. I love the look without one.

I think your necklace would look outstanding with that dress. What color is your bouquet. Something else with the color of the necklace would tie everything together.

That’s a beautiful necklace, but I honestly think your dress is enough of a statement on its own. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I vote just earrings. 🙂

I’d like it with earrings only. Perhaps you could wear your necklace to the rehersal dinner.

It’s a beautiful necklace, but I think it really, REALLY fights with the detailing on the dress. I would go without a necklace. It looks so lovely and sophisticated without one!

Yeah I sorta agree on fighting with the beading detail. I held the necklace up to it and that’s the feel I got. However, like everyone said I’ll just need to try them both on to make the final call. The dress is a little tight now, but when it fits better I’ll post pics and ask again:)
