I think people usually take the veils off after the ceremony.

I took mine off for the reception. I didn’t have a great system–I just put it on the table where I was sitting.

I think take it off. I am definitely taking mine off right after the ceremony. I have a jeweled hair pin that I will stick in my hair so that my hair is still “dressed up” when the veil comes off.

I wore mine for introductions and for the first dance and then removed it.  Once you start daning it’s annoying.  And when people hug you they pull on it which doesn’t feel good.

I took it off and replaced it with a cute hairpiece [flower with a little bling].

The viel would probably get in the way and it does get tugged out/down as you’re hugging everyone [or at least for me, I’m a hugger].

It’s just personal preference I think… depends on whether or not you want to be photographed in it for all your reception activities. Guess it also depends on what kind you have & if it’ll constantly be in your way….

id say wear for as long as you want to have photos of you in it, then take it off. otherwise, it’s a hassle to keep on (esp if it’s longer).  i plan to take mine off after the first dance.

I wore my veil during the ceremony, our first dance, and the cake cutting.  After that, it came off!

What if you are wearing a bird cage veil. Do you keep that on?

I am only wearing it for the ceremony, and will be taking it off right after. For me it’s just for the religious purposes.

I think its just personal preference. If you love your veil wear it all night. If you think it will annoy you then take it off.
