(Closed) Should my 9 year old daughter be my flower girl or Jr bridesmaid?

@Babsie:  Junior bridesmaid. When you have your wedding your daughter will be entering the stage where she starting to mature, and constantly wants to do more grown up things. I think the way most 10 year olds see it is thus: bridesmaid=adult, flower girl=baby. If she gets to wear a matching dress and stand up with the other BMs I think she’ll feel mature rather than patronised. 

Plus, you never know. Maybe this will win you the ‘you’re way too young for makeup!’ and ‘no, you can’t go to the mall on your own!’ arguments that come at that age.

I think junior bridesmaid will be more appropriate, given her age. You don’t need to have a flower girl if you have ring bearers (and they’re optional, as well.)

I would go with Junior Bridesmaid; I think it’s more special.  Smile
