I say dress shoes.  Your boys will look so cute and I’m not the biggest fan of the Chuck Taylor thing anyway…

I vote dress shoes, only because the Groomsmen are wearing dress shoes.

If the Groomsmen are wearing dress shoes, then the little boys should too.  Seconding hotchildinthecity, too. I think it’s pretty cliché at this point, and I was never a fan to begin with, because so many people who do it don’t even wear Chucks in real life and just think it’s a great way to make a formal outfit more causal.  But honestly, it just looks mismatched/immature, in my opinion, to wear a tux with Chuck Taylors.

But also I just think little kids are SO cute in formalwear!

I also vote for dress shoes. Also if you aren’t fond of the look then don’t do it. They can always change shoes for the reception if you want them to wear something that they can run around in.

Oh man, this is a tuff one, I was also considering Chucks for the boys in our wedding, I love how they look with dress pants.  I think if you are doing suits not tuxes you can get away with the Chucks.  I think it adds more of a fun loving personal touch to your look…

If you’re not a fan of them, then don’t have the boys wear them.  🙂

I am not a fan of Chuck Taylors at all but I think it would be adorable if the kids wore them! (Not the GM)

If you’re not a fan, then go with the dress shoes.  I agree that it would be cute for the boys to wear chucks, but if you don’t like them, then go with what you want.

If it were my wedding, I’d vote for the chucks, but since you don’t like them, I say go with whatever will make your happiest with your photos. 🙂

Converse are the best.  All of my groomsmen and my groom are wearing Converse.  I think it adds an element of whimsy.

I would do both. Have them wear dress shoes during the ceremony and pictures. Eventually let them change into the other ones for the reception.
