SO CUTE! πŸ™‚ Your Fiance and my husband would get along great. Same goes for me and you. πŸ˜‰

We have seven pets. Three cats, two dogs, one ferret, and one hamster.

My husband just can’t say no to me. πŸ™‚ But we obviously go through the steps first. Can we afford this animal? Can we afford the vet costs (including vaccines, yearly visits, ect.) Can we afford the food (and not cheap out on it.)? Do we have the time for this animal? (Although I am stay-at-home, so I have all day. lol Anyways, the list goes on.

If we can answer yes to every question, then my husband cannot say no. πŸ˜‰ We obviously won’t be taking in anymore (unless we get our ferret a cage mate.)

Honestly one day (in 5 years or so) we plan to have a Silkie Chicken farm. And if we had a couple 100 thousand to spend, we would have an all out farm. haha

How many pets do you have? Do you guys feel you can give this dog the time it needs? The vet visits he/she will need? Will your other pets get along well with this dog?

Good luck! πŸ™‚

Cry. Not kidding. That’s how I got to bring my dog home from the humane society, and my Fiance didn’t want a dog either. He loves her now, so it’s a happy ending.

Since you already rescued a dog I’m sure with some pressure your Fiance will crack. Just lay it on heavy that the pup isn’t well cared for and that you’re really concerned. Cryng wouldn’t hurt either πŸ™‚

@Birdi:  Awwww, Bogie is SO CUTE! πŸ™‚

If you lived near me I would take you up on that farm offer! haha

Also I know this is a given but keep in mind on the up keep. (Not trying AT ALL to talk you out of him, and Bogie seems so spoiled, it is sweet! So I get the vibe that you guys are AWESOME fur parents!)

Feedings twice a day, cleaning up poop, pee and puke (the three lovely P’s.), fur brushings and trimmings, nail clipping (I clip my dog’s and ferret’s nails twice a week (once every TWO WEEKS. Sorry I was in a hurry writing this.) on my own) but groomers are great for that, too. As I am sure you know. πŸ™‚ Daily dental care (raw hides, dental chews, whichever your dog likes.) Daily walks (or play times, since he/she seems like a little guy.) It is always a lot of work, but it is so rewarding! πŸ™‚

@Birdi:  Yea, I feel exactly the same! Awwwww, well if you cant talk him into it then at least you can look forward to a new doggy one day after you guys get married. πŸ™‚ Finding him a good home is such an amazing thing to do! Not to long ago there was a dog at our local shelter I was so sad about I almost fostered him. But we cannot have anymore dogs now. I sent the shelter some rescue groups near by, but thankfully he found his forever home shortly after. Keep me updated on the lil baby with finding his home. Until then just keep enjoying sweet Bogie. πŸ™‚
