Honestly I think most of those reasons arent that big of a deal except the planning part. If you only have 3 months to plan that is tight and there’s no reason to rush.
The honeymoon you can postpone (we are getting married in Sept and plan on honeymooning in spring) and that kills a few birds with one stone.

I also had my heart all set on an enchanted forest theme – lots of ferns, moss, and candles/tealights, blah blah..I have a feeling September fits that theme better, but it can still work in June, right??

I highly doubt the venue is saving your date based on a “verbal” response. If you didn’t give them a deposit, they didn’t save that date. Unless the venue is owned by family?
