My fiance and I signed up to take lessons to choreograph our first dance. But…we haven’t picked it out yet! We thought that since we are having it choreographed, it may be a good opportunity to do something a little different use a faster/moderate tempo song. Do you think we should go that route or stick to a slower song? And, any suggestions on particular songs?

If you feel comfortable doing a faster song I say go for it. As long as you have fun with it I’m sure it’s going to be awesome for you and your guests.

I think we’re twins. We are date twins, and I am having the exact same issue! We are taking dance lessons, and I don’t know if we should do a slow song or a slow song that turns into a fast song. I hope more people reply to this thread, because I’m in the same boat!

I thought long and hard about this too. I just played songs from youtube, read the lyrics, and imagined how we would dance to them. Neither of us are good dancers. In fact, I’d call us downright bad. We chose a slow song ’cause it’s easier to dance to and it’s more traditional.

@D0GL0VER: I want to do this too. I hope to take dance lessons and have a faster more upbeat first dance song.
