it’s only going to be the people involved in your ceremony that’ll be there for your rehearsal….so it’ll still be awesome on your wedding day….

I like when they’re in different places. I want the wedding to be something new and different.

Yes to stealing the thunder, NO to should you do it. You want your guests to be surprised and wow’d. Or, at least I do. The rehearsal is a gearing up party and the wedding is the Main Event! Why steal the excitement?

Our venue is at a botanical garden outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. They have a guest house on the property that our wedding party is staying at for the weekend. By booking the guest house, we get a free social gathering of our choice besides the wedding (rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch) thrown in.

So yeah, our rehearsal dinner is at the same place as the wedding! But the wedding itself is taking place in another part of the property.

We had our rehersal dinner and wedding at the same place, and anyone who stayed there that weekend had breakfast there that morning (our wedding was in the hotel’s main dining room).  We picked our venue because of the beauty of the location, and the beauty of the room (and fabulousness of the staff and food) and it was nice to be able to enjoy it for a little while longer.  I don;t think any of our wedding party felt let down that they had seen the room already, they were excited that we had just gotten married.
