@BostonBrideToBe: I think lace could look great with chiffon, and add some texture too.

We’re conservative also, but our rabbi told us that he’s only concerned with having my shoulders covered in the synagogue and that he’s ok with straps counting but no strapless dresses on the bride or bridal party. Sadly, our wedding grew too big early in the planning process and we won’t fit in the synagogue anyway, so he said it doesn’t matter what I wear.

Because we’re getting married outdoors in Colorado in October (weather permitting), I found a little sweater at Macy’s during their graduation sale of all things white/ivory. I wish I could find it on line but it looks like this one, only ivory, short sleeved, and V-neck (only the 3 lower buttons). It looks great with my 1950’s style ivory taffeta party dress.

I bought a white bolero last week at Dress Barn.  They have 5 or 6 styles for about $30 each.

My Conservative Rabbi informed me that as long as my Vail covered my shoulders I would be fine. No need for a bolero jacket etc.
