So excited for yall! Is it possible to have less than no chill whatsoever? Like absolute zero negative -357 chill? Cuz that’s me 😂

Timeline is before my birthday next year (late Nov 2019) which at first I was so happy to have that I didn’t stop to realize how. Effing. Far. Away. It. Is… cut to me acting like a textbook crazy girlfriend every now and then when I get sucked into the vortex of comparing myself to the 27 (not even joking!) close friends and family that have gotten engaged/married within the last 18 months.

@avafox The setting you chose is stunning! I love the classic-ness of it!

I just sumbitted by final CAD to the designer (we had gone back and forth so many times regarding the design, I’m suprised they have the patience to deal with it all)

It will be a rose gold pave band with lotus/petal 6-prong setting. I am getting chills and am so excited!!!

I’m 99.99999999999999999999999% sure that the proposal will happen during my birthday week in November and I’m falling off the edge of my seat waiting!

Omg thank goodness it’s not just me. I am SO impatient for the ring to get finished and to finally be engaged! The thought of being his wife…best warm fuzzy feeling ever. Not to mention that I get to wear a gorgeous ring for the rest of my life!

That’s my setting on the left and my stone on the right. Still some stuff to get tweaked before it’s mine but holy moly, so excited and impatient!

I picked my ring, FH ordered it, it is hidden somewhere in our apartment. I have seen it and he let me try it on, but I haven’t looked for it since. It’s killing me but I know the surprise when he asks will be worth it!

lambchop1017 :  Your diamond is beautiful and humongous!! May I ask what size your diamond and finger are? 🙂

chanieish :  Thank you so much! It’s a 3 carat and I am a size 5-5.5 ring. Jewler said I should wear it in a 5 so it doesn’t slide around but a 5.5 is what I typically wear.

I got my ring back in April BUT I had to post here because MY GOD DO I UNDERSTAND YOUR STRUGGLE. Hahahahaha

Seriously though. I was obsessed and going completely insane while I waited! My now-fiancé and I picked out my ring at the end of February, officially ordered it in March, then came the long wait. I was so annoying lol constantly staring at pics and stalking the jeweler’s instagram (I literally cried when I saw the pics and video they posted when my ring was done!) and then once I knew it was done, constantly trying to get hints from my boyfriend about whether he had the ring yet (it was being shipped internationally) and when he’d finally propose.

The only consolation I can give is that it is seriously 100000% worth the wait. I know everyone says that. But it really is! Finally having your dream ring on your finger and knowing you’re officially engaged to your dream guy (or girl!) too is just… the best. <3

Hang in there, ladies!

We first started talking about actual engagement in late January, in May we were through all the madness that was our first few months of the year and I chose my stone, in late June he bought the stone, in mid-July we went to the jeweler so I could pick out my setting/band.

He should have the completed ring by Friday of THIS WEEK!

I went with a .72 carat lavender Montana sapphire that changes a bit in the light, round brilliant cut, set in a six prong setting on a band with pave diamonds halfway around on either side of the setting. The entire ring and all six prongs will be hand engraved.

It’s going to be GORGEOUS and I cannot wait to see it. I’m genuinely hoping he doesn’t take more than a few weeks to ask once the ring is in his possession. We have a ton going on, so he may just want to do it this weekend and be done so he doesn’t have to think about it. He is trying to convince his mom to come up for a celebratory dinner (unrelated to this) and he could combine everything into one since we haven’t talked to his family about actually getting engaged and married yet.

tessv :  Nine months?! And I thought I was waiting a long time, 6 weeks! Your ring is beautiful!! I hope he doesn’t make you wait too much longer.

catthebee37 :  I can’t wait to see your ring, it sounds incredieble!

citizenerased14 :  That what I keep telling myself, when it happens it will be worth it! A year from now I will laugh about all of this but today I want to die (only theatrically, 😀 )

We picked out and purchased my setting this past weekend. Now I wait for the diamond or possibly moissanite until we can upgrade in the future. I believe it will be a diamond though. I thought I wanted rose gold setting but I’m glad I stuck with 14k white gold. The band and halo is 1.1 carats and can hold a 1-1.25 carat diamond. Here are some pics:
