Elle_Neotoma:  Hello! I’m new to this thread, but love your elegant ring. Can you tell me the carat weight of your sapphire solitaire? It appears to be a medium blue or violet blue, not a darker blue – is that accurate? Thanks for your assistance!

I looked at the a.jaffe website – did you purchase the setting and have your own jeweler set the stone, or did a. jaffe handle the entire process? Thanks for your assistance!

I did a close-up because it’s hard to see how blue it is sometimes.  I love my ring.

To me it’s the perfect shade of blue.  He got flack from co-workers who assumed I’d be disappointed the centre stone isn’t a diamond.  As if.  FI knows my tastes in gems, and sapphires are the epitome of beauty to me.

My heirloom 6.5 carat untreated color-changing Ceylon Sapphire. It was my SO’s Great Aunt’s. She bought it in Ceylon in January 1920.

BijouBee:  Wow this is gorgeous, such a unique shade of blue.  And a nice history to go along with it.

Hi all-

Here’s my sapphire engagement ring. The center stone is a Montana Sapphire, 2cts. I have no regrets choosing a colored center stone! IMG_9288IMG_9239
