forshoreabride :  I ordered this ring but returned it.  Unexpected medical expenses made returning it a necessity but I don’t think I would have kept it anyway.  It was beautiful but what I couldn’t get past was the basket design.  It was a petal basket, which I love the look of, but it kept the pavilion of the diamond so far away from the basket and the openings in the basket were so narrow, that I knew I would never be able to give that diamond a proper scrub and all stones need it sometimes.  I’m switching my preferences to simple head/prong styles that let a lot of light in and let me have good cleaning access to the stone.

.75 lab diamond G SI1.  I hope you’ve read up on diamond specs.  Be sure you get a well cut diamond.

I have the Imogen 14K rose gold with .85ct H color, IF clarity, lab diamond. Somedays wish we would have dropped in color and clarity and gotten a bigger carat weight but in reality I am beyond in love my ring.

forshoreabride :  it won’t let me upload a picture for some reason but I’ve posted my ring a few times. I love brilliant Earth! I have a brilliant Earth rose gold wedding band and a white gold ring. I posted the link to mine. I have a 7.5mm moissy instead of a diamond. Not disappointed at all. Have fun at your appt!

Okay it finally let me upload lol

Mine is a Brilliant Earth ring. I have the Provence setting and, while I adore it, I think I would go back and pick a style that was a bit thicker if I could. The Reverie or the Catalina settings both have thicker bands that I think would wear better. The Provence setting is very delicate– only about 1.4mm thick. I haven’t had any issues with the band warping or bending, but it does spin on my finger which can be a bit annoying. Other than that, we had a great experience with BE. It arrived 2 weeks to the day after we ordered it and when I got it resized, I had it back in about 3 weeks. I don’t forsee any future issues since I chose such a simple style, but if you are looking at a pave band, I’d choose your band thickness carefully!

I have the Selene setting with an oval! I really love it and it’s so beautiful but I agree with thinking hard on what band thickness you want! I wish mine was a bit thicker sometimes (and I was someone who wanted a really thin band)

gimmepretty :  Pretty – I love pears! But I’m sorry to hear about the medical bills. When my husband had his heart attack I thought they’d never stop coming.

sunburn :  Sunburn, put your glasses on–it’s an oval!  But I do love pears, and having that ring for a month made me realize me realize that more.  I still have my pear, just frequently wish it had a slightly better quality cut…sigh.  I’m glad to hear that your husband made it through his heart attack and hopefully has recovered well?  We were hoping to have a break in medical costs, to at least catch our breath after two surgeries in the family last year, but my son’s arm is a lemon.  He had a benign tumor that had to removed (CCMC left us wondering for a month if it was sarcoma when we found it on him at eight.  😡) Anyway, the arm just keeps breaking.  Fourth break, a new catscan. No solutions that make sense yet.  His surgeon says, “Do push-ups to strengthen it!” We’re like, “Did you hear us when we said he broke it by raising his arm to grab the trunk?  He never even closed the trunk, lifting his arm up was too much!”  Push-ups….smh. That arm  is going to bankrupt us before he gets to college.  He better get a reallllly good job–that he can do one-handed.

Shamelessly posting my rings again bc I’m obsessed with my upgrade 🙈

Both my original and upgraded engagement rings are from Brilliant Earth! The original ring (round diamond) was the Lissome, and the new ring (with the oval) is the Viviana. Both settings are pretty thin at 1.4mm, and the main difference is that the Lissome is a cathedral setting while the Viviana is not. Here are both rings:
