We won’t be doing any fancy stuff… just driving up in the same old car we drive every day.

1949 Packard..it was like riding to the wedding on a sofa with wheels, my Dad is an avid collector!  He drove me, it was special!

This is not the actual picture but this is what our transportation looks like (not that color though aslthough).  It fits up to 30 people.  We’re using it as guest transport and then he will come back and pick up the bridal party.  After the ceremony, fi and I will drive off in his Honda civic: he had it re-painted, new tires and rims and had some body work to fix dents and dings and scratches.

Although we haven’t found a way to make it work yet, we’d love to drive off on a motorcycle with a side car.  If that doesn’t work and I can find a way to get on the back of a motorcycle in my wedding dress, we’ll just take FI’s motorcycle and I’ll ride on the back!  Hopefully we find something that works!

I really wanted a classic car to drive us from the ceremony to the reception, but Darling Husband didn’t think it was worth the cost to only go 5 minutes up the road. Mother-In-Law informed me the other day, however, that her and Father-In-Law had looked into one for me on the sly (aw!). By the time they found the one they wanted to rent/borrow (navy–to match our colour scheme–from a gentleman living in their condo building) it was too late, and he had already rented it out. Oh well, we took the rental van (that was used to transport all my DIY stuff to the venue). STYLIN’! ;]

I did get chauffeured around in this baby while doing first look pics, though:
