So i’ve got to choose a ring for myself. And would like a solitaire with thin pave band, it just feels right on my hand. But i’m torn between choosing a low setting (super-clumsy person with small children) and it sitting flush with a plain band next to it.
I decided to order it custom made from a jeweler and am looking for inspiration here.
Share your pictures, especially side view, and tell, if it is comfortable and if it can be flush with the band. Thank you all bees!
Here is the look i liked in the store

I wear gloves so I had to go low-profile. Here’s a side-view

I wanted a very secure setting, so my ring has a very low bezel setting. It was made by a jeweler who designs her rings to sit flush with a wedding band.
Here’s the profile of my ring:

I don’t have a wedding band yet, but here is my ring with my hammered silver RHR. The silver ring is the same width as my engagement ring (2 mm), but it is thicker and a size larger. Even so, it sits flush against my engagement ring.

Custom made, doesn’t sit flush with a band (I don’t mind the gap). The setting is super low and very comfortable. I’m a super super clumsy person as well 🙂

Am def going to switch out my beloved high-profile setting for a low one, so I am vested in this thread. Mine is super high, catch it, and bang it, on everthing.

mikuru : my engagement ring is incredibly low profile. I think it may have originally been classified as a diamond fashion ring, but it is what i liked. It sits almost flush with my band that are also very flat. I find my rings very comfortable and never take them off. Not a solitaire though, more of a cluster..

nykkee : I have to say, that is one of the most unique (in a great way!) rings I have seen. So cool!

I consider this lower compared to some I’ve seen. I just got it Saturday!

I loooove how low profile mine is. I’m a physio so it was super important to have something that wouldn’t catch on things or scrape my clients 🙂

I love how low set mine is, it never gets caught on anything and I’m able to put gloves on over it very easily at work!
