I had one that was waist length and I loved it with my dress. I ordered it from http://www.wedding-veil.com and they have a great return policy if you don’t like it!

As a general rule the more formal the wedding the longer the veil. Just because your short and petite doesn’t mean you can’t wear a long veil. Go and try a few on to get an idea.

I’m wearing hijab too, my veil is fingertip length. It has two different layers. My dress is also very “poofy”.

@Mrsgurzakovic:  Yes she was the expection to the general rule. At the end of the day wear what you like. When you go try on veils take your scarf with you, you may decide you don’t even need a veil just a nice hair clip or something. Of course once you try some options on in store you can find the same or similar products online for a much cheaper price. Good luck.

I think since your dress has a lot of volume, a mid-length bubble veil would be nice.  I’m not a big fan of floor length- i think it’s very formal, competes with the train, and runs the risk of being stepped on and ripped very easily.

I think I’m going with mid length, with a similar dress (though in satin). The trains on those dresses are so fabulous, why cover it with a veil?

First of all, your dress is to DIE for! Where did you find it? As far as a veil goes, I would agree that it really does depend on the style and feel of your wedding. A simple veil (not a ton of poof) may be a good option since you are wearing a scarf as well? You will be gorgeous!

@Mrsgurzakovic:  I actually got a thin crystal headband that I’m going to place over the start of the veil and pin them both to the scarf, if you understand what I mean. If the veil comes with a comb, have a seamstress remove it. She can even sew the start of the veil to the ribbon headband, and then you can pin it on the crown of your head, where the middle of your scarf is. I should be trying this out this weekend.. if I do, I’ll send you some pics.
