I don’t know if this will help because my cut is different from what you’re asking about but my diamond is an H. I think if you make sure the cut is excellent or very good then your diamond will face up whiter! Cut is super important. Also another thing you may want to look into is a G/H/I that has medium or slight fluorescence because that can sometimes offset the warmth of the diamond and help it face up whiter and bonus: it also knocks the price down a bit! 🙂 just careful not to go with strong or very strong fluorescence because those diamonds can sometimes appear milky/cloudy/oily in direct sunlight

NEAM2014 :  I had a J radiant for about a week and it seemed a bit too yellow. I was surprised because most of my jewelry is YG and I wear mainly earth tones so I usually like warmer stones.  Something about the radiant bugged me. Weird. There are several ‘warm’ step cuts on Pricescope & Pinterest that I love:

This is an L from Pinterest (1st Dibs, I think)

A Pricescoper’s K color

a J from PS or WB

H from WB?

An H/I should be totally fine, IMO.

NEAM2014 :  Thanks! I notice the color as a slight warmth in certain lighting. OTOH, The J radiant was giving me ummm, urine-y vibes everywhere lolz.

This square EC is a whiter ‘I’ than the last ‘I’ (we traded the rectangular EC in towards this new one.) Both are GIA graded but I’ve read that there’s is a range within each grade so I guess this ‘I’ is closer to ‘H’ than the other diamond.

I don’t see it as yellow but I do have to consider my whole YG, Dark Autumn Palette undertones etc. bias.  If I was a white metal-wearing-‘Winter’ or ‘Summer’ with cool undertones, I might see it differently.

NEAM2014 :  You’re welcome!…. I’m smiling about the radiant pic ^.^  lolz… I guess that’s why a lot of fancy colors are radiant cut. Here’s the one I had:

LOL I think the baguette setting made it worse. embarassed There were probably much better rings to choose for that stone.  OTOH I’d been drooling over step cuts for years so that ring not working out was the push I needed.

NEAM2014 :  That radiant cut is beautiful! The warmth is very pretty, but it’s all a matter of personal preference. I like warm and cool stones, depending on the cut/setting. Here are my G colored emerald cut diamonds. They are heirloom stones, so I didn’t pick them, but LOVE them! 🙂
