What you’re asking is to completely alter the reality of the photos. They’re never quite going to look like what you’re asking, and even if they are photoshopped, they’re always going to look a little bit off.  Photoshopping wedding photos is best left to color correction, getting rid of that zit on his forehead, whitening grandma’s teeth a bit, not creating whole new poses. Sorry Bee, but I’d talk to your photographer and see what he/she may not have given you.

Speaking as someone who messes around with photoshop as a hobby, doing what you are asking would take a great level of skill to begin with, and would be very difficult to make look true to life. It’s one thing to fix a pimple, smooth hair, or conceal a tattoo…but it’s another thing entirely to change an entire pose. Moving the position of a pupil IS somewhat plausible, but in my experience you’d also need some sort of softening filter to hide the obviousless, so you’d lose a little bit of the cripsness of the photo.

Sorry bee, but frizzy hair fixing is your hair stylist’s job and from there on, its up to a bridesmaid or friend to tell you if you need an extra hit of hairspray. That’s not really on a photographer.

Going over on the contract date is a definite no-no. Did you have a written down list of poses or shots that the photographer failed to get? The ship may have sailed on her getting the shots you wanted, but if you’re unhappy that she didn’t fulfill her contract you may be able to get some money back?

Honestly, and I don’t want to sound harsh, but if you ask her to change head positions she’s going to serisouly side-eye you. That’s just not going to look good even if it wouldn’t take way more time and skill than was included in the package.

i suggest you instead tell that you really wanted a few of both of you looking at the camera, and ask if she has any, and if not perhaps she could do a portrait session for you. I would assume she would charge for that, of course, but that’s between you and her.

There’s no magic button in PS that will turn someone’s head and create a side of the face that isn’t there.  Moving pupils around is easy enough but it can look VERY bad if not done correctly.

I work in photoshop a lot (8-12 hours a day lot.)  What you’re asking for is possible, BUT it’s a lot more than a little tinkering, it’s a full editing job which would require multiple photos (ie of your husbands head/face from the angle you want) and a lot of time and skill from an artist or photo editor to get what you want (the scale scale and lighting all have to me made to match perfectly).  Stuff like that could end up costing more than the original photos.

A good photoshop artist can do anything… including charging a fortune for their time and skills.  It sounds like you need to have some serious words with your photographer.

Don’t feel petty!  You’re allowed to feel disappointed and you seem determined to find a solution – which is never a bad thing.  You deserve the best photos you can have from your wedding day.

Changing the eye direcction is mucn more straight forward as long as whoever does it knows what they’re doing – ask your photographer to give it a go.

You’re asking for magic, not photoshop.

If you’re missing specific pictures, I would simply ask the photographer if they have them. They don’t give you every photo they take.
