This is my original wedding band. It’s yellow and white gold. And, for fun, I put it with a rose gold band, which is a more recent acquisition.

HopefulCatlover:  Thanks! I really like mixing the different golds together, too. I never would have realized how much if not for this forum.

Today, I’m wearing my dad’s wedding band (white gold) with my rose gold one. I grabbed a couple of pics because I liked the combo a lot. I’ll come back and post one in a bit, once I get it resized.

HopefulCatlover:  No problem! I love posting pics — probably too much!

These pictures show the rings with my anniversary ring, which has diamonds. But I think it’s still a pretty “metal heavy” stack, overall. Really, the setting on my anniversary ring probably has more metal to it than a lot of folks would like. But I love it, which is all that matters.

The white gold band is my dad’s wedding band. He hasn’t worn it for years, so he gave it to me. He knows I’m very sentimental about stuff like this. It’s a very old band — 50+ years. And it’s never been redipped or anything. That’s why it has that sort of dull, soft kind of look to it. The rose gold band is only about a year old — maybe a bit less.

My new stacking band has emerald stones, but my set before the stacker was all rose gold.
