clarktaylor22:  I love your centerpieces! I have yet to choose a venue but I’m worried about filling a spacious ballroom if that’s what I choose because I don’t want to spend a lot on centerpieces. Can you tell me how you put those together?

I just finished my ring bearer’s pillow, and while I’m sure I’ll have other DIY’s I love I’ll probably be most proud of this one!! I designed the thing from scratch including all embroidery and beadwork. I even included our monogram and wedding logo in the center. I spent quite a few months on this working on and off (designed it in October and just finished it yesterday, so about 6-7 months). I love that I’ll be able to display this and have a personal keepsake that means so much after the wedding. 😀

IveBeenDreaming:  haha.. good point. I didn’t even think of that. Fortunately, my ring bearer is my little nephew who’s a little bit of a clean freak. He hates having his little hands dirty and always wants to wash them if anything gets on them. It’s kind of funny

    So many to post…

I’m a crocheter, I stamp and seal homemade coasters, make my own face wash, moisturizer and makeup just to name a few.

Latest project: Crocheted blanket for SO’s BFF and wife:

first, i love the poll!!! But I really did make the multi colored flower ball. it took FOREVER and so many flowers. Although pretty I plan on going with the white flower ball that I bought off of ebay. I did glue the ribbon and broach onto the vase. I will use the one on the right as a centerpiece for 4 tables. I also plan to hang a crystal strand from the center of the flower ball inside the vase. My wedding planner has these beautiful rhinestone stands that I can rent. I think I will place the centerpeice on top of the stand.

IveBeenDreaming:  I have a lot of favorites but this one was just completed by my awesome MOM!! It is for our reception, which will be in a barn. I love the Before and after transformation. It is redone in a natural linen, painted white, new “pillows”, embroidered “mr” and “wifey” in gold thread and adorned with finishing ribbon and tacks. Such a sweet gift 🙂

This has got to be my favourite DIY so far! The canvas is painted a light turquoise but you can’t really tell in the photo.

michellia:  I absolutely adore your pillow. I’ve never done anything like that before but I’d love to try.

Did you buy a template or kit to help you make it?  Do you have advice on how to get started?
