Loved this Bliss by Monique Lhuilier dress but didn’t want to go over budget. I ended up with the second dress. Anna Maier/ Ulla maija alberta

I was going for bling on top and big ballgown on the bottom. In “the one”, I got everything i orginally did NOT want in a dress…..embroidery, organza, appliques, beading, and an ivory gown. I wanted a white gown, taffeta, pick-ups, long train, asymmetrical waistline, rouching, and lots of rhinestones only on the bodice of the dress.

Very first dress I ever tried on and it was the #1 contender throughout my dress search until that very last deciding moment. This dress also made me have A TON of dress regret for the dress I bought. It had the all over Swarovski rhinestones, embroidery (didn’t like at the time), asymmetrical waist line, taffeta, long train, and pick ups. You would think I would have said yes then right? lol. I couldn’t say yes to the one and only dress I tried on though. I had to know what else was out there.

One of the first few I tried on. I LOVED the ballgown shape and that it was taffeta, but it didn’t have the bling and glitz I wanted.

This is a Maggie Sottero and it was pretty heavy, but very pretty! It just didn’t have those pick ups that I wanted. I really liked this one though.

Another Maggie, I LOVED all the bling, long train, and it was taffeta, but something about the neckline I wasn’t too crazy about the embroidery at the very top.

One my mother in law picked out…

I LOVED the train on this one, but wasn’t crazy about the flaps in the front nor the heavy-ness of the dress….

LOVED how big this one was, but the bodice’s rouching looked really weird. The bling I LOVED too.

Then there came ‘the one’ that everyone loved over any of the dresses. I was REALLY REALLY stuck between the first dress and this one. I decided on this one with the mentality that “well I love both dresses, but one is cheaper so I will just get this one.” So I bought it. Here it is on my big day…

This is amongst one of my favorite kinds of threads!! ๐Ÿ™‚  Both of you girls looked so amazing on your wedding days!

Here are mine starting with Adorae and ending with the one I chose! Back in the day I blacked out my face – but I’m all over the boards at this point so I gave up with my pro pics. ๐Ÿ˜€

I wasn’t allowed to take pics in the bridal salon ๐Ÿ™ but I had originally thought that this was going to be my dress

Maggie Sottero Chardonnay

But it looked awful on me!

Then I tried MS Marguerite and fell in love with it. It was completely the look I was going for.

My consultant urged me to try on all different dresses though so I did. I didn’t like any of the other styles but when I tried on MS SaBelle I was in shock. I had a total bridal moment meltdown and ended up getting it! I can’t wait to put it on in my size this spring since the one I tried on was like 6 sizes too big lol

I must have tried on 40-50 different dresses. Part of me would love to go try on dresses again, but since I’m married that would be kind of crazy.

I really thought I was going to buy a wedding dress with color, but once I tried them on, it wasn’t the look I wanted.

This was the first wedding dress I tried on that I really liked, but the sparkle underneath the arms wasn’t very comfortable for me.

This was my runner up dress and I sometimes still really wish I’d have chosen this one. Especially since my bridesmaids didn’t get the corset on my dress laced properly.

Then there was this lace dress that I absolutely loved. BUT. The shop owner put me in a discontinued dress and the sample was 2-3 sizes too small. It really broke my heart that I couldn’t have this dress, it sparkled all over.

Then the dress I wore on our wedding day.

@JJsGirl_09:  PERFECT! I love the one you chose far more than the others (though I understand why that first one was a strong contender!). But the one you picked is amazing. ๐Ÿ™‚
