These are first two I tried on. They were Allure (don’t know the styles) and I found them both absolutely horrifying. Those dresses were eating me!

I went to another boutique weeks later as I had fallen in love with the Watters Penelope online and wanted to try it. I tried on the Rue de Seine Fox gown, which I LOVED but was well outside my price range and a few Anna Campbell gowns which felt like embellished nightgowns:

I tied on a few other gowns, such as Watters Agatha which I loved but it wasn’t the one, a few Rue de Seine gowns which didn’t suit me and then tried on Penelope:

Love love love Penelope and ordered her with the bronze underlay. Love!

gtijenn:  Hi! do you have more pictures of yourself in the 3rd dress Allure 9263? That’s the dress I ordered but they added volume to the bottom. I cannot find this dress on real brides anywhere on the web. Thank you!!!!!

I thought this one looked nice on me, but it wasn’t quite right and over budget!

My face in this one was “hell nah”.

Couldn’t move but it was pretty.

Pretty, but so not me!

Coudn’t move! I also didn’t want strapless.

I actually liked this one a lot, but wanted it in the pewter colour instead of the black…. I think I more liked the shape of the dress, so silky and comfy inside! The shop owner pulled her other sheath Maggie Sottero and it ended up being the one (next picture).

My dress, Maggie Sottero Jade! Instantly loved it! Bought the sample that day

Dress 1 & 2 that I turned down! Dress 3 I almost bought! It is very pretty but it wasn’t what I wanted or had every pictured myself wearing!

In the end I got my girl…Mary’s Bridal Gown…I can’t remember the style #, but I named he t Destiny!!!

So interesting to see the no dresses!

I don’t have any photos of me in the dresses, as we weren’t supposed to take photos in the salon. I have hunted out the stock images though 🙂

My favourite on the hanger

I was in love with this dress and so excited to try it on. However, I found that the illusion top really cut into my underarms (dress was my size too!) and the super low back made me feel very… exposed? I don’t know, it didn’t feel right!

The ‘something different’ dress

Loved the colour of this one, but it was darker than it appeared in photos. My mother made the comment that it looked like I’d spilt tea down a pair of lace curtains. Thanks mum. Ultimately decided that I didn’t like the big gap in the lace between hem and body.

The ‘get this off me now’ dress

I’m pretty sure this is the one I tried on – very similar at least! (Maggie Sottero’s Esme if you were wondering). My mum picked this one off the hanger – it was stunning. Sparkle and tulle everywhere! However, when I put it on, I felt about 3 miles wide. The skirt was ridiculous. I didn’t feel graceful or Bridal at all, so it was a no from me!

The ‘One’

My beautiful Mori Lee – this has now arrived so this is me wearing the dress at my mum’s house. It was actually the first I tried on and I was smitten from the start! None of the other dresses could compete so I asked to put this one on again after trying on the others and I just knew 🙂
