@missjuli:  I am not actually engaged yet so I don’t know what people will say.

Crappy cell phone pic does NOT do it justice!  I have the Amora (enhanced)

@missjuli:  We live in different countries at this point.  He sent it to me to have it set here in the states.  I will take it with me to California in 2 weeks when we will have the official engagement so nobody except bees have seen this pic.

What does “fun ring” mean?

NOBODY has asked me if my e-ring was real, and if someone did, I would answer, “Absolutely.” It’s just as real as a diamond, sapphire, or CZ. They’re all ‘real’, not figments of anyone’s imagination (lol), but I am very upfront about it being a Moissanite. Hey, I’d tell anyone looking to get an e-ring to start with Moissy for clear stones, because I think they ROCK (pun intended). ๐Ÿ˜‰

The people that DO know (my family, his family, certain friends) all ADORE my e-ring and think it’s beautiful. It’s not the material it’s made of that matters; it’s the love behind it.

Do I pass it off as diamond? Nope, but I’m sure that’s what people assume it is when they look at it. But I’m not going to say, “Hey just so you know this isn’t a diamond it’s a Moissanite!!” if they say, “Oh that’s gorgeous!” People with diamonds don’t do that; why should I have to?

Today is Earth Day...oh, and also, I'M ENGAGED! :D (Ring Pics!) : wedding Ringgg

This is a 1 carat (6.5 mm) Amora Moissanite. I love it! <3

People don’t ask me if it’s real, but most people refer to it as “a beautiful stone.” i am young and I don’t come from money, so the size of my moissanite would be too expensive to afford as a diamond. I readily tell people what it is, even if they didn’t ask, lol.

I’ve never had anyone ask if it’s real.  If they did, I would say yes it’s real and tell them what it is.  I’m not shy about it.  No one really asks, so I figure they either think it’s too big to be a real diamond or believe it is a diamond.  Either way, I’m happy with it and don’t really care what anyone thinks.

Here is my baby…only the center stone is a moissy – unenhanced – the rest are diamonds as it was orginally my grandmothers. My husband bought me the moissy at my request as  love them ๐Ÿ™‚ Everyone thinks its a diamond and always fawns over it. Sometimes I share its a moissy sometimes I don’t. I don’t think tere’s anything wrong with keeping to yourself, but its nice to show ppl there is an alternative to diamonds that is just a beautiful and won;t break the bank or put you in debt ๐Ÿ™‚ and conflict free.
