Darling Husband used this picture to announce the engagement while on vacation, which happened one year ago from today!

Never posted my ring on social media, but I took this the morning after (forgive the deteriorating manicure!).

It’s super cheesy, but we posted this photo with the caption, “PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES ARE BACK!

Oh, and we’re getting married.”

Unfortunately I totally spaced in taking photos right after the proposal. It was a quiet night home in sweatpants, so I’m not sure I’d have shared them with the world but would love to have them for me.

My Fiance works 75% of the time, out of town. He had GREAT proposal plans, numerous times, and I managed to somehow mess them all up. So we actually got engaged at 2 am, in a hotel room, after BBQ’ing in the parking lot for all of our employees (It was actually SO PERFECT – so happy I kinda botched all the rest!). This was the next day when we took the kids to the waterpark. We’re pretty chill, and this represents us, so this is the picture I used to announce. I love it!!!

We got engaged on our one year anniversary in London. About 10 days after we met I followed him to London (he was there for work but somehow didn’t have to work too much) and we spent the most wonderful week there. So he planed our anniversary trip to London and proposed in Hyde Park by the Joy of Life fountain. It was perfect. And he booked a photographer… the whole story you can find here https://www.adamsweddingphotography.com/hyde-park-real-engagement-photos/

We waited with the announcement till we reached out to everyone important. I wasn’t sure which picture I’d use and the photos weren’t supposed to be ready for 2-3 weeks. But then our great photographer sent us the pictures just a couple of days later and I ended up using this one.

I love these ideas, they are so creative. Everything just flew out of my brain after he proposed. We were with my family, so they knew. And his family knew he was proposing, so they got a quick call afterward.

We posted a quick ring photo a couple of hours later and updated fb statuses. Then we visited with family we hasn’t already seen that evening. It was a busy Christmas Eve lol.

My engagement twin did better.(friend who got engaged the next day). She posted a pic of the two of them in front of a Christmas tree with the words “we’re engaged!”

I was so excited that I can’t believe I forgot to get the ring in the first picture, which was seconds after he proposed. Once we got back to the car I remembered to take a picture of the ring tongue-out so I posted them together. Sorry the first picture is sideways, can’t figure out how to straighten it out!

I used the first picture to post on social media. The second picture is a picture he took after the proposal and when we were out doing our laundry. He proposed at home that night when I got home from work. He got the ring that day and I’m pretty sure he was too excited to wait any longer. I couldn’t stop crying. People there must have thought I was nuts with all the tears 😂

These were the photos i uploaded. He proposed while i was sat in my lounging clothes, no make up, barely brushed hair. He came downstairs and the dog was lying by me, told me the dog had something in his mouth and picked it up to hand to me. Not really paying much attention he had to tell me to unfold the paper and it was this note. By the time i looked up he was by my side on one knee smile

He did upload a video he had made prior to the proposal (a lot of football announcement clips as the proposal was on transfer deadline day lol) and a few of me with his surname on the back of one of his sports tops. I look a total mess but i love those photos.

We then rang parents (they all knew anyway) and my best friend who cried even more than i did, took the dog for a walk and ordered dominoes while excitedly planning. It was perfect.
