It looks like I’m going to have my engagment ring re-made (long story) and I’ve always thought the side view was a bit boring so figure this is my chance to make it more awesome.
I LOVE the crossed prong look but sadly my jeweler says my ring is and will still be too thin to do that (1.3mm width micro-pave which won’t change).
So please show me your side views so I can get ideas!!

I chose mine partly because it sits rather low for a solitaire and partly because I loved the roping on the inside of the band, which is visible from the side. I love it!

8 prong pave basket on a 2mm band.

Mine’s a tapered cathedral with a 2.5 mm band so it thins out and comes to a point at the diamond on top. Kind of blurry, but it’s all I have on this computer. I was worried about snagging it all over things, but surprisingly it’s been fine.

Mine’s a tulip/kite/cathedral setting. I’m 110% in love with it.
