Everyone’s rings are STUNNING! I cant wait until I can add mine to this mix. Follow up questions for you ladies – did you discuss any of the attributes of your ring before the proposal? Or was it a total surprise?

Here’s my 2ct equivalent on a 5.25 finger! Congrats to you!!
Here is mine! 2.4 carats on a size 4. To answer you question, we went shopping together to decide on the cut and I told him I wanted a simple band. Other than that, it was all him. He worked with the jeweler to find a stone in the quality/budget he wanted to spend and designed the ring!
I had an *idea* it was coming but didn’t know exactly when, so I know how you’re feeling. Best of luck and enjoy every moment 🙂
I’ve posted mine here a bunch, but still so in love!
We went the same route, custom designed it together. The proposal was a complete surprise, though!
2.61 ct, G, VVS2, tripple X
To answer your follow up question: I gave him all the information he needed to buy a diamond of good quality. What are the 4 Cs, angles, cut, fire and brilliance. I slowly feed him all the I formation from the moment on we kinda wandered into the engagement ring section of Tiffany’s (he was forbidden to buy there, eventhough he told me later that he talked to them). We both knew it had to be a solitaire and I dropped a list of settings I liked (it had to be specific prongs, low setting etc, things a man wouldn’t ever notice). He picked the stone all by himself and then his favorite setting from the list (which happend to be favorite as well).
This is my e-ring
2.1ct diamond with halo white gold.
