I got mine off of etsy

and I am in love with it. The guests will all sign leaves and place them on the tree and then we will frame it. I was going to go with a thumb print but we didn’t want people to feel messy.

We made a photobook of our engagement pictures on AdoramaPix and left some white space on each page where people could sign and leave us messages around the pictures.  It turned out great and our guests loved it!

Mine will be a white picture mat for guests to sign, and there will also be squares of off white muslin and fabric pens for people to write us secret well wishes/tips and then my uncle is making us a quilt out of them and we won’t be able to read to messages until the quilt is completed!

We bought a black and white coffee table book called “The Light of New York” and several silver ink pens for guests to sign. We wrote a sign displayed above the book “Please choose your favorite spot in NYC to sign our guest book”. It was a huge hit and a couple getting married shortly after us actually copied our idea! 🙂

@Mrs.KMM:  I love that idea and was planning to do something similar… did you have to use any special type of pen to write on the AdoramaPix book?

We chose to do a quilt guest book. Each of our guests signed and/or wrote a message on a quilt square and my grandmother is sewing it into a quilt. I can’t wait to see it all finished!

We might do something similar to @FutureKMM, or, because we’ve been together since high school, I might create a photobook of us over the years with all the mementos I’ve saved and make it kind of like yearbook/scrapbook-style. Not sure how much work that will take though!

@MissDoodles: We found a Sharpie worked best – wrote great and no smearing/smudging.  A regular ball point didn’t write on the photo paper very well.

We made a photobook of pics throughout our relationship. I had never printed any pictures out so I figured I could kill two birds with one stone, and I know this way I’ll actually want to look at it in the future.

I am going to make my guestbook using http://www.mixbook.com.  I have used it before and the quality of it is great! A hardcover 8.5×11 is only $39.99 and the next size up is $59.99 I think.  Here is the website:

That should send you straight to the sample wedding guestbook and once you choose it, you can edit pages and change the look of it.  They give you so many options!  It is easy though since it is already laid out for you.

@moderndaisy: Great Idea! How did the silver pens work? Are they the regular ones you get from Michaels or Save on Crafts?
