This is the inspiration for our cake. The only difference is that the flowers will be blush and the ribbon will be a light gold.

Your cake is lovely!!

That won’t be our caketopper, though! She is going to carry the white chocolate starfish onto the top.

This was our cake table setup – macarons (lavender/chocolate & pistachio) and lime cheesecake w/ buttercream frosting. (Photos taken on my friend’s phone)

I wanted a cube cake, to be different. Darling Husband wanted too many flavors, so we did a cake buffet for the groom’s cake. AND, it was two people’s birthday on our wedding (my sister’s husband, who was also a groomsman, and a university professor that was a mentor to both me and Darling Husband and of course invited to the wedding), so we got their favorite flavors from their wives and ordered accordingly.

Mine faded from fuchsia to white…didn’t come out exactly like I wanted in the inspiration pic, but it was still cute!

Love these cake pics, ladies! Keep them coming!

Fiance and I both love this cake, but it will have our colors (eggplant ribbon and purple/apple green flowers) and a different cake topper.  We are meeting with the baker tomorrow and this is our cake inspiration:

The hard part is that my Fiance doesn’t like cake! He will eat cheesecake, but a couple of bakers that we talked to said that they don’t make cheesecakes for weddings.  We were even thinking of a possible mini-cake on the side that we could use for our cake cutting, but not sure exactly how to do this (the reception hall is very picky about brining in outside food and only allows cakes from a licensed baker).  Any suggestions?

@pengoala:  I really love your cake toppers! Very pretty colors, too! Nice cake!

@SweetartMD:  Was your cake fondant on the outside?  We’re trying to do a birch tree, but fondant is too expensive. Also – the green leaves, what are they made of?  Oh.. I love your cake!

@NYCowgirl:  The frosting was fondont and the leaves are gum paste I believe. Thanks!! I tend to love it too!
