My 0.5 carat engagement ring πŸ™‚

My partner was thinking of going for a 1 carat diamond or a 0.75 carat diamond, however he took my style (modest/chic) into consideration and chose a 0.5 carat high quality diamond.

I like this size because it’s not huge but it’s not by any means tiny either.

I have to say that sometimes when I see my ring in pictures it looks much smaller than it looks in real life. An image can’t always capture the sparkle and light that bounces off/through diamonds. Whenever I see my ring in a mirror I think wow! Due to the quality it REALLY sparkles and lights up beautifully.

stevie54 :  That’s the biggest looking .25 I’ve ever seen! I love it, especially the 6 prong tapered setting. And I love how the whole stack works together too. Usually 4 rings on one finger looks like too much to me but yours are all very dainty and beautiful together. Do you have a side picture?

This is a terrible picture, also please excuse my dry winter hands along with eczema…not cute. Anyway, this is my .48 ring. It’s terribly hard to see in any picture I’ve ever taken of it, but the diamond is super high quality and is unbelievably sparkly. I actually get complimented on it often by strangers, which I never thought I would because I thought most would find it too small. But the diamond itself truly is gorgeous. I’m so glad we decided to go for a better quality diamond and smaller. I got a semi flashy wedding band to add some more bling when we finally seal the deal.

Not the best pic. Try not to judge me for never getting my nails done. I might make that a new years resolution. πŸ™ˆ D H wanted to get a 2 ct princess cut solitaire. His heart was in the right place but thats not my style at all. This is the only jewelry I wear and I’m not really into a lot of bling. It sparkles like crazy and I love it. 😍 1 ct tw, .25 emerald center

lgrand519 :  I love these threads! Both because I can participate and because I just like the look of “smaller” carat rings. Diamonds are beautiful but I feel like something is missing when a ring is just a giant stone on a skinny band, or so excessively crusted in diamonds that you can’t see metal at all…but that’s just my personal taste. Here’s mine, 0.2ctw in white gold, along with my rose gold wedding band and my new yellow gold band I got for Christmas from my husband ❀ I’m so in love with the 3 gold colors together

Mine is a 0.33ct heirloom diamond we put in a custom setting. It’s the perfect size for my work and I love how it’s low profile and doesn’t catch on things πŸ™‚

Newbie. Just got engaged 12/17. Second wedding. First one was more than 18 years ago. Finally got my Tiffany ring with a very nice .53 stone. I couldn’t love it more. 😁😍
