It is a 1.34 carat, round brilliant, 5.5 finger, H color, VS2, Very Good cut. I honestly never notice any yellow. I notice stark white and do not like it (I don’t like D color, I get that makes me strange), but I find that I never notice any yellow in mine.

Mine is 1.25center stone color G!

@Pollywog: I am not a fan of stark white either…I feel like it tends to look more like a CZ. I adore my G-I feel like I can see to infinity through it hahaha

My center stone is a 1.05 asscher that’s H in color. It’s not stark white, but it doesn’t look yellow at all. My finger is a size 5/5.25 but my ering is a 5.75. Needs to be resized 🙁

@Carliej01: love that asscher halo!

Mine is a 1.02 Princess center (D color, SI1 clarity, very good cut) and TCW is 1.52. My ring size is 4.75.
Sorry it is a blurry cell pic.

Just realized I forgot to put the color, its a G. The only time I see color is when its right next to something yellow. And I’m not really sure you can blame the stone for that.

This is my 1.51 on my size 5.5 finger….

1.4 on a 5.5. I do not know the color because it’s an heirloom, my parents don’t have the paperwork, and we haven’t had it appraised, but the jeweler who sized it was impressed with its quality. This picture is from my phone, so it kinf of sucks (and the ring hadn’t been cleaned in like 17 years).

1.5ct center stone, .2ct on the band, on a 5.75 ring size. Hope that helps!

Ring size 5.5, 1.2 VVS/F center, .25 on the enhancer/accents, 1ct wedding band. 🙂
I love her.

There is a lot more that determines if a stone looks yellow. You need to learn about every spec a diamond has and inspect each stone before purchasing (GIA certificate). Generally a G color is near colorless and does not look yellow (especially if you get a round stone, they are a lot more forgiving than fancy cuts). The stone you tried on might have inclusions in the middle like a cloud, giving it a yellow look. If there is an inclusion that is for example on the side of the diamond, then it shouldn’t impact the look of the stone as much. Good luck!

@theillyphilly: Very pretty! That is a great size on your hand!

@CheekyWedding: I do know a lot about the GIA standards, but I didn’t know that! Thank you for the input!
