How exciting for you! I’m team oval all the way! 😉 I think that size will be perfect for your finger!  I don’t have much insight about the SI1 vs VS2.  When we looked at diamonds, without a loupe or a very obvious flaw, it was hard for me to tell the difference because those two are so close in clarity. From what I understand on the clarity scale, SI1 is only one step down from the VS2. Mine is an F1 moissanite, DEF in color with no occlusions (which is what I wanted), so mine doesn’t use the same diamond language, but you can get an idea for size.  My center stone is a 1.5 carat equivalent, and my finger is a 5.5. Proportionately it would be similar, though! 🙂  I think the ring sounds great!

Hi- I’m a waiting bee and have also just picked out an oval. What I found about ovals is that 1.3’s can measure the same as 1.5s and 1.5’s can measure like 1.7s etc… the mm measurement gives you a better comparison if you are looking “apples to apples” I too picked a SI… I wanted size over clarity bc how many times is someone going to inspect your ring? Mine is a 9.52×6.59, ratio 1.45 a E 1.75ct. I’ve seen online other 1.8+ that measure smaller than mine. Here’s the one I’m waiting for, I wear a 4.5

I posted once we picked my ring that I was scared I didn’t “inspect” it too close and quite frankly I’ve been zooming and staring at these photos for a couple months now and I love the ring! I can’t wait til he proposes but one sales lady (not the one who sold us this ring/diamond) she said it best… “inclusions aren’t all bad, yes they’re considered flaws but in reality they are the birthmarks your diamond carries and that’s how you know it’s yours” ❤️

terri1983 :  My ering is a 1.52ct oval diamond in a .50tcw halo setting.  My ring size is 5.50, because my fingers are stubby; I have more than enough finger coverageclose up small

itsaylissa :  Your ring is gorgeous! I agree that the size will be perfect for the OP’s ring. Not too big,  not too small, perfect finger coverage.

Then, since the OP was thinking 1.3 vs. 1.5… this is more what it looks like “in real life” with my fur baby getting some chin scribs
