So, my boyfriend and I have been looking at rings a lot and we have talked a lot about getting engaged, we have been looking at 1 ct princess cut with pave band e-rings. I was hoping to get an idea of what that would look like on my size 7 finger. Could you ladies show me you 1 ct princess? And please include finger size!! Thank you!!

This may not be helpful because mine is round cut, but to get an idea of finger coverage… Here is my 1 carat moissanite on a size 7 finger.

Not princess, but 1 carat on a seven:

Here’s my .91 carat on size 7.5. the halo would probably balance out the slightly smaller diamond and the slightly larger finger size 🙂
Sorry it’s sideways 🙁 silly iPhone

@spiffykirshay: that looks like it fits your hand so well! I was worried that 1ct would look too small.
@Jazzylove: that is a beautiful ring! I love the band!
@kendra389: I have been thinking about a halo. I figure we can add one on if need be Later on 🙂
@Sunshine316: I love your wedding band! You ladies are definitely putting my mind at ease about the size 😀
@CoCoCourtney: I really like the thin band! It’s such a timeless look!

Here’s mine! its “vintage” – my FI’s father passed away when FI was only 9, this was the ring that his father gave to his mother when they were married, and she kept it for him to give to his future wife. i love it 🙂

@Desilu09: 1 ct princess cuts face up the smallest out of any cut, I think. There is a website diamdb.com that will let you compare different cuts and sizes on your finger size. Check it out! I know cut is the most important thing for most people, so if you’re set on princess cut, then get it! Just be aware that 1 ct doesn’t always face up as big as other cuts that have been perfected for finger coverage, like the modern round brilliant.
For example, 1 ct princess is 5.5mmx5.5mm while a 1 ct round is 6.5mmx6.5mm.

I’m a size 7 and my princess solitaire is a 1.01 ct., approx. 5.5mm x 5.5mm. And yeah, carat size is not going to be the main factor for finger coverage, but really how it faces up, so look at the surface size for sure. I have smaller carat round cuts that look like 1 carats because they face up larger than my princess.

@msbibliotecaria: that looks like a perfect size!
@FutureDrAtkins: thanks for the site, I’ll look into that!
@blankenshiptobe: that’s beautiful and I love when rings get passed down.

Mine’s actually a 1.25 on a size 7.5 finger, but the ratio is almost the same. 🙂
