My center is a little over 1ct, so I didn’t post a pic, but voted no such thing as too big 😀

Totally depends on the finger size! A 2 carat with a halo literally would take over my entire finger. Now the Tacori 2620 has a “bloom” and I would love that with a 1.5-2 carat center!

@Btrfly:  Yeah, I always wanted a solitaire, and I’m pretty sure that is what he bought me. But man, I drool over the 2620. I think I may have to send them my diamond someday so they can make me one!!

@Btrfly:  What is your finger size? What size diamonds would you get for the halo? 1/2 pointers? 1 pointers? All of that will play into finger coverage. Also the website lets you compare how solitaires of different cuts look on different finger sizes. You can always figure out how much diameter the halo will add and then figure out it’s solitaire equivalent to try and size it up on that website.

For my finger and the kind of halos I like (I have a 1.25 center with a chunky halo and wide band), I would say that 2+ carat with a halo is probably too big. But “big” is relative and I’ve seen halos with 2.5+ centers that look really good on other people! Smile

1.82 ct center on a size 6 finger. I don’t think I would ever change it, but I also don’t think that there is such a thing as “too big” 😉

Mine just 1.5 cts and 2 total. Size 4.75 – 4.5 finger. 2.5 for the center is probably the biggest I’d want for this setting.
