@Jennilee215:  Your ring is stunning! I do not believe it is too small at all! It’s not the ring that matters it’s the feelings behind the ring that should make you feel special.

I am a bee in waiting and would LOVE to have a ring that resembles yours, remember it’s not the amount of karats that makes the ring but the way that your Fiance makes you feel! They’re jealous. Enjoy your engagement!! 🙂

I have my ring posted literally, all over the place. But I have a .50 carat solitaire. I told my Fiance when we first started talking about marriage that “I don’t care what size diamond you get me, what shape or what color gold. Choose it all yourself. But I don’t want a huge stone and I want the diamond to be as near to perfect as possible!”

He did such a great job! It’s an ideal cut princess, D VVS2 and I think it is perfect.I’m a teacher and I hang out with kids all day and I really didn’t want something that would get in the way and I wanted something simple so i could wear it everyday.

Don’t worry about what anyone else says, a persons love is not shown through how big your engagement ring is. It is the thought and the meaning behind the ring that makes it special. Oh, and the lovely man who gave it to you!

I love your surprise sapphire!

I’m always happy to show off my half carat ring, but seriously, 0.5 is NOT small! most people in the US have a .38 size ring. anyway, what’s most important is how it fits your finger, and your own personal style! if you think it’s perfect for you, then it already is. 🙂

Oh ok. I’ll post it again, haha. I also helped pick mine, so I definitely love it. I admire it…a lot.

.48 six-prong platinum solitaire on a 7.5 size finger. I love it!! Half a carat is beautiful. (sorry if the pic is huge)

sorry that didn’t seem to work! Let me try again.

again, .48 carats on a six prong platinum band. And my fingers are NOT small – 7.5 size, long fingers, on a 5’9″ frame.

Hope it goes well! I agree with others above that a high-quality colorless half carat is better than a lesser quality biggun.
