Mine is not lace, but it is an A-line gown that I am trying to poof out half way between a ballgown and aline….

Sample dress without a crinoline in addition to built in crinoline (LEFT pic)…..then MY dress WITH an additional crinoline in addition to the built in one (RIGHT pic)…..a crinoline can find that happy medium if you want a little of both without going full force for either style :o). Hope this helps. By The Way……I LOOOOOOVE the A-line gown you posted! You have a GREAT figure in that dress. I love the little flowers too!

I also tried on a ballgown and I thought it made my upper half look shorter than normal eventhough I’ve always dreamed of having that huge poofy dress.

I am 5’1 and I don’t think I looked like a cupcake! The website calls it a ballgown but I think it’s kinda between a ballgown and a-line

(this was taken at my fitting)

My dress!

I’m 5’3″ and when I am wearing the dress, it feels HUGE and I was worried at first that maybe it was too much, but looking at a picture of me in it, it doesn’t look over the top at all!

@WolvLove: I was torn like you too. I really wanted a “ballgownish” gown cause I didn’t want A-line at all, but didn’t want to stand 3ft away from my now fiancee, dancing the whole night haha. The crinoline does help out alot though if you are trying to achieve that look. The 2nd dress on you looks really good as is too though :o). I know that doesn’t help any ;op.

I loved my dress! And I wouldn’t have wanted it any less poofy! Infact, more wouldn’t have been bad either! lol

And to all those women who say they had to get a second dress because they wouldn’t be able to dance at the reception in their ballgown? Do you see that 9 ft undetachable train?

Do you see me having any difficulty dancing the night away? That sucker was tied, glued, and stapled to my butt in July in Texas! Heck yeah!
